Mr Wong Toon Suan 黄循泉          

   

Founder and Managing Director 

 

Mr. Wong has more than 30 years of experience in senior management positions in various utility entities covering water, gas and electricity in both the public and private sectors. His experience include general management, asset management, strategy planning, and business development, etc. He led negotiations that successfully secured a US$10B natural gas deal, and had been involved in more than US$5B of infrastructure project implementations during the span of his career. His most recent experience was managing a clean water R&D fund of US$270M funded by the National Research Foundation of Singapore and helped to grow Singapore into a Global Hydrohub. 

He was the Managing Director of PowerGas Ltd  a gas company  from 1997 to 2003.  He also held board directorship in the Singapore International Water Week Pte Ltd (2008-2011) where he played key roles in organising the annual event, especially dealing with water companies and NGOs from USA, Canada and Australia. His directorships also included Singapore District Cooling Company; DRPL Pte Ltd, and other local and overseas companies.

Mr. Wong is effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. He has overseas posting experience and is familiar with cross-culture working environments. 

He is a registered professional engineer in Electrical Engineering and he attended the Advanced Management Program in the Harvard Business School in 2001. He is also a Senior Member of the Institute of Engineer, Singapore. 

Currently, he is the President of the Gas Association of Singapore which he established in 2001 together with other key gas industry players. He is also a member of the Energy National Standard Committee, Singapore. 

His current roles include appointment as an executive advisor to a university for technology transfer and commercialisation focusing in water-energy nexus and business advisor to a large Japanese consortium.
